Estuary: The Fish Series

"Fish are ancient symbols of a murkypast."
Fish are a constant theme in this exhibi-
tion of drawings which comments on his-
torical, religious, environmental and social
themes.
July 1 through August 3
Quill and Bark
The Museum holds one of the largest col-
lection of porcupine quill baskets in the
country. This exhibit features many of the
baskets, and highlights the relationship be-
tween the basket makers, sellers and collec-
tors.
August 6 through September 8
Robert Gause
Visitors are invited to visually explore im-
ages of moving water, often reminiscent of
musical qualities. This exhibit features me-
dium and large format original oil paintings.
September 11 through November 14
A.V. Roe: Nobel
The now infamous Iroquois Engine is fea-
tured in this exhibit. Almost every trace of
the engine was destroyed by Prime Minister
Diefenbaker's decree, but evidence remains,
and reminds us of what might have been.
November 17 through February 1998
Soul of the Railway
This travelling exhibition from the Canadian
Railway Museum in Quebec highlights the
contribution of railway workers to the crea-
tion and growth of Canada's railways. Lo-
cal stories will be included in the exhibit.
